Judy Stokland Memorial Scholarship
Solomon College offers the Judy Stokland Memorial Scholarship in memory of Judy Stokland. From 2016 to 2024, Judy was a dedicated member of Solomon College, known for her steadfast loyalty, hard work, and commitment to the students. Her warm and caring nature made the college feel like a second home for everyone. Judy played a crucial role in helping new teachers feel welcomed and integrated into the community, fostering a sense of belonging. She also made it her mission to ensure that every student felt valued, respected, and appreciated. Her love for Solomon College and its people shone through in all her actions.
Judy’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication will continue to inspire us all. Her lasting impact on Solomon College and its community will be remembered and cherished forever.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants must be a student registered and attending a program offered by Solomon College between October 2024 to October 31, 2025.
Application Process
Interested applicants will need to write and submit a short story, approximately 500 words in length, along with their application to awards@solomoncollege.ca. The story should include the following elements:
- Experiences during their program of study
- Demonstrations of their commitment to the community
- Aspirations, academic goals, and career ambitions
Award Amount
One successful applicant will be awarded a $500 scholarship. Notifications will be sent out by November 30, 2025.
